Basecamp College Counseling is here to help, whether you are a paying family or just looking for an overview of the college admission process. We are in the process of developing some online resources that provide students and families with a roadmap to navigating the college admission process and high school. Until those are ready, we encourage you to review the Peak Education College Corner page developed by our Director of College Counseling Jasmine Rainey. College Search, Applications and Outcomes

CollegeBoard
Register with CollegeBoard Big Futures to search for colleges by location, selectivity, and majors. Note that for Basecamp clients, you also have access to College Planner Pro which provides an even more extensive college search experience. You can compare colleges with similar profiles and register for the SAT, as well as view and send scores.

The Common Application
The Common Application represents over 900 diverse institutions of higher education including a wide array of public and private colleges and universities across all 50 states and 20 countries.

The Coalition Application
The Coalition Application is a diverse mix of colleges and universities that meet or exceed strict graduation requirements. Beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, the Coalition Application will be tied directly to SCORE users’ profiles.

College ScoreCard
College Scorecard provides data from the US Department of Education about affordability and outcomes for colleges and universities across the United States.

Georgetown Education and Workforce Center Outcomes Indicator
While we do not advocate simply measuring economic outputs as the value of a college education, it is something important to consider. The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce has recently published their 2022 ROI list which ranks colleges based on their self-reported graduation rates, student debt and how much their graduates earn.

NCAA Eligibility Center
Prospective student athletes can learn more about eligibility requirements and how to integrate their college search with their athletic pursuits and goals.

Summer Enrichment

Colorado College Pre-College Program
A chance to earn college credit, live in residence halls with students from around the country and experience hands-on learning during the summer. Some scholarships are available.

Summer Discovery
Partnering with colleges and universities across the US Summer Discovery provides pre-college programs to students across the US.

Summer Institute for the Gifted
Provides summer academic enrichment programming for gifted and academically talented and high- potential students.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The standard application for financial aid for most colleges and universities. Basecamp includes support and advice with completing the FAFSA in our college counseling packages.

CSS Profile
The CSS Profile takes a deeper look at a family’s/student’s financial situation and is required by some colleges and universities (mostly private schools) as a part of the Financial Aid Application Process. Basecamp includes support and advice with completing the CSS Profile in our college counseling packages.

FastWeb
Fastweb is a National Scholarship Database designed to simplify the scholarship search by helping students find scholarships, grants, internships, and financial aid opportunities.

RaiseMe
RaiseMe enables students to earn micro-scholarships throughout high school, starting as early as 9th grade, for doing all the things that best prepare them to succeed, whether that’s getting good grades, volunteering in the community or joining an extracurricular activity.

YouVisit Campus Tours
YouVisitCampus tours provides slick video and picture tours of colleges and universities. You can create an account and save tours from the colleges and universities that you are interested in.

CampusReel
Learn more about campus life and the student experience directly from videos produced by students who are attending the colleges and universities that you are exploring.

Get valuable insights about the location of the college or university that you are visiting. Basecamp college counseling also includes campus visit support in our college counseling packages.
